Back To School Fair In Prince George's County Saturday

HYATTSVILLE, MD — The Mall at Prince Georges is holding a family fun celebration to jump-start the back-to-school season this Saturday.

The Back to School Fair gives Washington Metropolitan Area students and parents the opportunity to shop for school supplies and clothes during Shop Maryland Tax Free Week. Attendees can also expect fun activities like hula hooping, magic shows, hip hop dance demos, a mini yoga class and more.

JCPenney will also host a "Touch-A-Firetruck" event and a Kids Safety event with Hyattsville VFD, University of Maryland Police and other local police organizations.

"Supporting the community and education has been a priority for The Mall at Prince Georges for many years," Victoria Clark, Marketing Director for The Mall at Prince Georges, said. "We look forward to bringing more events and new retailers to the center as we continue with the renovation of the mall.”

The event will take place from 12-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 at The Mall at Prince Georges, at 3500 East West Highway, Route 410, Hyattsville.
