Council Filing Closes, Four Races Competitive

Registration has closed, Hyattsville. These are your city council candidates, pending final approval by the city board of elections. 

Council watchers were subjected to some last minute drama as incumbent City Councilor Eric Wingard (Ward 1) waited until the last day to file. He turned in his paperwork earlier today. There was also a surprise last minute filing by another Ward 1 hopeful, 4411 Oliver Street resident William Jenne, who turned his campaign paperwork in with less than 15 minutes before the close of filing. 

These new filings are developing stories, stay tuned for more updates as the Hyattsville City Council's biennial election season swings into high gear before the May 7 voting.
