City Police Seek Info on Stabbing Suspect
Man stabbed in early Monday morning dispute in West Hyattsville.

The Hyattsville City Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect believed to have stabbed a man early yesterday morning in West Hyattsville.Â
According to an advisory from the HCPD sent out to subscribers of the city's emergency alert system, the stabbing took place at around 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 1 in the 3100 block of Hamilton Street. The stabbing resulted from an escalating verbal altercation.Â
After the stabbing, police said the suspect fled the scene in a dark colored, newer model Toyota extended cab pickup truck.Â

The suspect was caught on security cameras near the vicinity of the crime, and police have distributed the image on a wanted poster.Â
The suspect, if caught, faces first degree assault charges.Â
