City Police Seek Suspects in Stabbing

Hyattsville police are looking for those involved in a triple stabbing in McClanahan Park.

Hyattsville Police are investigating an incident involving the stabbings of three young men at McClanahan Park earlier this week. All three victims are expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators believe that the incidents are not random, but related to activity starting at Northwestern High School or possibly outside the city.

The mayor and City Council recently approved funding to add another camera and emergency call box to McClanahan Park, and installation is expected within the next few weeks.

The city has increased police patrols at McClanahan Park and has requested that the Metro Transit Police Department do the same.

The stabbings were committed by a group of Hispanic males, police say.

If you have information on such a group spotted in the vicinity of McClanahan Park call the police department at (301) 985-5060.
