Franklin's Celebrates 20 Years

Franklin's restaurant is celebrating 20 years in business in downtown Hyattsville. Many credit the establishment of the restaurant as the first step in the still-ongoing revitalization of Hyattsville's downtown Route 1 corridor. 

To help commemorate this momentous occassion of two decades in business, the store will be having a 20 percent off sale on all items throughout the day. 

"Everything from toys to hot sauce to beer to jewelry, you name it, it's on sale," reads a post announcing the sale on Facebook.

There will also be tastings and giveaways throughout the day, which–quite serendipitously–also happens to be "small business Saturday", where shoppers are encouraged to patronize their local retailers and merchants as the holiday shopping season opens up.
