Five Things You Need To Know Today (The Hy-Five)

Morning, Hyattsville! Here are five things you need to know today:

1. It’s supposed to be mostly sunny and hot today, with a high near 97. Heat index values could touch 101. And there won’t be much of a breeze. Might be a good day for the pool. It’s going to cool down later tonight though, with a low around 75 overnight. 

2. Did you know that hospital emergency personnel report a higher rate of check-ins during a full moon? I guess you could call it the raging of the moon. Anyhow, it’s coming up again next week at 4:13:36 p.m. on June 15. Just a word of warning ;-)

3. It’s a shame to miss out on a good deal, especially when it involves coffee. Here’s a hot deal for a $1.50 Dunkin Donuts bag of coffee.

4. I just bought a new truck and with that added cost, I’m thinking of ditching AAA (though I love it!). Meantime, if you can’t afford roadside assistance like AAA, you can teach yourself how to fix a flat when you don’t have a spare with this video from Discovery.
