Why Go: It’s movie night at Heurich Park. And, it looks like whatever dreary weather was expected has passed over Hyattsville. So, it’s a perfect evening to gather up your wagon train and head on over to this outdoor cinema.

Triumphant Church Women’s Fellowship Flea Market

Where/When: Triumphant Church, 6509 Riggs Rd. / 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: One man’s trash … so why not head out to see what you can snag for a hot deal? There’s also going to be refreshments.

Yolanda Adams on Blood Pressure

Where/When: Jericho Christian Academy, 8500 Jericho City Dr., Landover / noon to 4 p.m. Saturday           

Why Go: Grammy Award winner Yolanda Adams will bring her annual Health & Lifestyle Tour and inspirational message to Landover.  As part of the Believe in Healthy BP campaign, free blood pressure screenings and educational materials— including a doctor discussion guide and blood pressure log—will be offered at the Jericho Christian Academy. An interactive exhibit, featuring a walk-through, simulated blood vessel, will also be on display and open to the public throughout the day.

Father’s Day Tours

Where/When: Riversdale House Museum / 12:15 to 3:15 Sunday

Why Go: Learn the history about George Calvert and his nine children including Charles Benedict Calvert the founder of the University of Maryland with a tour of the mansion. Visitors can also enjoy a cooking demo from noon to 3:30 p.m.

Price: Admission is $3 for adult, $2 for seniors and $1 for students. Free for children 4 and under.
