Giant Stores Recall Emerald Cashew Product

Giant says one of its vendors is recalling a snack product over concerns it may contain glass.

The Snyders-Lance company is recalling Emerald 100 Calorie Cashew Halves & Pieces, 4.34. ounces.

The UPC code is 1030033324, and all date codes are being pulled.

The manufacturer, Snyder’s-Lance, announced the voluntary recall due to the possible presence of small glass pieces.

There are Giant stores in Bowie, Lanham, Greenbelt, Laurel, Largo, Beltsville and Hyattsville.

No injuries have been reported to date, the company said, and said the action was taken after receiving a customer complaint.

All date codes are being recalled, but actual “Best Before Date” for the products of concern are 12 DEC 16, 12 DEC 16, 18 DEC 16 and 21 DEC 16.

Giant said customers may return the recalled product for a full refund.
