Heat Wave Brings Warnings
County officials remind residents to stay cool during the heat.

With temperatures expected to soar into the 90s over the next two days, county officials are warning residents to take steps to stay cool and hydrated.Â
An announcement sent out over the Notify Me Prince George's alert network urges residents to take the following precautions:Â
- Stay indoors as much as possible.
- Limit exposure to the sun, especially  between 10 AM and 3 PM.
- Watch for symptoms of heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
- DO NOT leave children or pets in vehicles.
- Drink plenty of water.
- People with respiratory problems, or illnesses should please stay indoors.
- Regularly check on infants, children and adults age 65 and older.
