Council planned to discuss confidential issues behind closed doors at cancelled meeting.

A special session of the Hyattsville City Council slated for next week has been cancelled, according to an announcement from city officials.

At its last meeting on Aug. 6, the city council voted to hold a special council session on Monday, Aug. 27. There was no discussion of what the council would cover at the meeting.

According to Acting City Administrator and City Treasurer Elaine Stookey, the meeting would include a closed door session to discuss confidential issues. However, Stookey said that the city was not ready to meet on the issue as of yet.
