Hyattsville Police Seek Community's Help In Finding Alleged Child Groper

A police report said two incidents of inappropriate touching happened near Hyattsville Middle School in the past month.

Hyattsville police are seeking information on a suspect who has inappropriately touched two young girls.

A Safe City alert from the City of Hyattsville indicates that both incidents occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on weekdays, near The first report came on Sept. 26 and the second on Oct. 12. In both cases, the suspect groped the girls and then fled, the alert states.
 
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'5 to 5'7, about 150 pounds, 35 to 40 years of age, with black hair, and a full beard and mustache, according to the Safe City alert.
 
Additional patrols and surveillance will be in the area and police urge caution, and encourage students to walk in pairs, the alert states.
