Two teens had been charged earlier in the week after Young died:

  • Luis Gerardo Ordonez, 19, of the 9200 block of Redbridge Court
  • Francisco J. Rodriguez, 16, of the 9000 block of North Laurel Road

Police allege Jacome, Ordonez and Rodriguez were part of a coordinated drug deal around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, when a group of teens met in the 9000 block of North Laurel Road.

During the meetup, there was an altercation and one shot was fired from a car window, according to officials.

Police said Young was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on Monday, Oct. 30.

After the shooting, authorities said the suspects left in a black sedan. Through investigation, police said they learned Ordonez and Rodriguez were involved, and authorities found them in a black Nissan Altima early Monday morning on Harvest View Court in Ellicott City. There was a handgun in the car, and the two were arrested, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate, and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 410-313-STOP or HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
