Here's a roundup of crimes reported to the Hyattsville Police Department.

Sept. 11

At the Mall at Prince George’s, sometime between 6 p.m. on Sept. 10 and midnight this date, someone stole a 2007 Nissan Altima. It was recovered in Largo early in the morning after having been involved in a hit and run accident.

At the 4300 block of Hamilton Street, about 12:15 p.m., two suspects were arrested after they were caught stealing a water pump from the rear yard of a residence in this area.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, sometime between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m., someone stole the victim’s purse while she was shopping.

Sept. 12

At the 3400 block of Hamilton Street, sometime since Sept. 10, someone stole a 2003 Ford Taurus that had been parked in this area. It was recovered in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 14.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 3:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting.

At the 6500 block of Belcrest Road, sometime during the night, someone broke into a parked vehicle and stole property.

At the 6500 block of America Boulevard, sometime during the night, someone broke into a parked vehicle and stole property.

At the 6200 block of Belcrest Road, sometime during the night, someone broke into a parked vehicle and stole property.

At the 3300 block of Toledo Road, sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., someone damaged the steering column on a parked vehicle in an apparent attempt to steal it.

At the 3300 block of Toledo Road, sometime between noon and 6 p.m., someone stole a 1997 Acura Integra that had been parked in this area.

 

Sept. 14

At the 3100 block of Lancer Drive, sometime during the night, someone broke out the rear window of a parked vehicle.

At the 2800 block of Nicholson Street, sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., someone broke into an apartment in this area and stole property.

At Northwestern High School, about 3 p.m., a student was arrested for disorderly conduct.

At Northwestern High School, about 7 p.m., a night school student was arrested for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

 

Sept. 15

At the 4200 block of Kennedy Street, sometime during the night, someone broke into a parked vehicle and stole property.

At Kirkwood Place and Lancer Drive, about 8:45 a.m., an unknown suspect approached a victim from behind as she walked in this area and forcibly took her purse before fleeing.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 12:15 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 2 p.m., two suspects were arrested for shoplifting.

At the 6500 block of America Boulevard, sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m., someone broke into a parked vehicle and stole property.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 6 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting.

 

Sept. 16

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 7:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting.

 

Sept. 17

At the 6500 block of Belcrest Road, sometime during the night, someone broke out the front driver side window of a parked vehicle.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 2:15 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 2:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting.
