FOUND: Missing Mother, Child Located by Police
Safety of both mother and chid could be in danger, say police.
Update: Hyattsville City Police report that they have located the missing mother and child described below. Police say the two are safe, but the investigation into their disappearance continues.
Original Post:Â Police are looking for a missing mother and child who live in Hyattsville.Â
According to a notice from the Hyattsville City Police Department, police are searching for a Dinora Mejia-Guevara and her young son Evin Jonathan Mejia.Â

On Sept. 3 at about 4:30 a.m., according to police, the mother contacted a family member and stated that she felt she was in danger. Police believe the mother may have been in the area of the Mall at Prince George's Plaza at 3500 East West Highway in Hyattsville. Police said that she may be suffering from mental illness and that they are concerned about the safety of her and her son.Â
According to the notice, Mejia-Guevara and her son live at 3124 Lancer Place in Hyattsville. She is 17-years-old, stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, blue jeans, tan flip flops and carrying a green purse. Her son Evin, two-years-old, stands 3 feet tall, weighs about 40 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue shirt, tan pants, white shoes and has a scar on his forehead.Â

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mejia-Guevara or her son Evin are asked to call the Hyattsville City Police Department at 301-985-5060.
