Prince George's Communities Get Green Thumb
In an effort to keep the area looking clean and green, Prince George's County will host a fall Clean Up Green Up event.

At Clean Up Green Up this weekend in Prince George’s County, area residents will team up with local organizations on Saturday, Oct. 18, to help keep the community looking clean, green, and beautiful.
The county’s fourth Clean Up Green Up event, the day’s service involves planting trees, shrubs, and flowers throughout the community’s neighborhoods.
Participants will work on beautification projects alongside members from organizations like the Prince George’s County Government, the Neighborhood Design Center, Prince George’s County Public Schools, Maryland State Highway Administration, Keep Prince George’s County Beautiful and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.

Clean Up Green Up events are hosted twice yearly, once in the spring and again in the fall. The county has had immense success rallying behind this community initiative. Students can even participate in this event to earn community service hours.
