Tartaro Calls for Hiring Advisory Committee
Hyattsville mayor looks to get residents involved in search for new city administrator, but not until after the budget is approved.

Hyattsville Mayor Marc Tartaro said that he wants to create a resident committee to participate in the hiring of new city administrator. Tartaro's idea for a resident advisory committee was aired in an article in The Gazette.
, however, expressed reservations about a resident advisory committee, saying that any such committee members should have backgrounds in the jobs for which they are hiring.
Tartaro also , perhaps as early as April.Â

Tartaro also told The Gazette that the city will be looking closer to home when it moves to fill vacancies, noting that recent out-of-area hires all ended up leaving the city within a year. His comments were presumably made before he knew of  Â
In a brief interview following last night's City Council meeting, Tartaro said Ryan resigned to take a job in Illinois where his family still lives.Â
