Kensington's 4th Of July Celebrations Canceled

KENSINGTON, MD — Fourth of July events across the country will not look the same this year, thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel their annual Independence Day events, including Kensington.

But just because Kensington's events have been canceled doesn't mean you can't celebrate. Gaithersburg, which also canceled its festivities, will host a week-long virtual celebration called #StayHomeSummerFest.

From June 29 to July 4, families can visit the city's social media accounts, where they will find arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations, theater performances, and a video montage of past fireworks displays. Click here to learn more.
