Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union Appoints Daniel Olejnik as New CFO

Germantown, Maryland – Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union (MAFCU), a not-for-profit financial cooperative serving Montgomery County, MD, is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Olejnik as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Olejnik has 40 years of experience in the financial services industry and specializes in managing the financial and accounting organizations within community banks and credit unions. At MAFCU, he will direct all accounting, finance, strategic planning, and budgeting initiatives.

A nationally recognized speaker and expert in banking operations, newly appointed Olejnik stated, “I’m very excited to join the team at MAFCU. Over the past year, there have been many great advances in the MAFCU organization. I look forward to contributing to the credit union’s vision and future.” Mr. Olejnik is a seasoned veteran in the financial services industry and has worked with banking trade groups throughout the United States. Prior to joining MAFCU, Mr. Olejnik served as Controller, CFO, and Executive Vice President of Administration for Barnett Bank in Florida and Georgia, and has been the owner and President of an industry consulting and advisory firm, BancPro & Associates. With BancPro & Associates, Mr. Olejnik served as interim CFO for several financial institutions.

Mr. Olejnik has a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University and an MBA from the University of North Florida. He has been a CPA since 1979 and is a member of the AICPA, GSCPA, Financial Managers Society, CUNA CFO Council and the Community Bankers Association of Georgia.
