Presidents' Day 2019: What's Open, Closed In Montgomery County
Presidents' Day is on Feb. 18, and many of us are looking forward to a three-day weekend. Here is what is open and closed in the county.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Presidents' Day, a federal holiday observed on the third Monday of February, falls on Feb. 18 this year. Most government offices, courts, and banks will be closed, and most services will operate on a holiday schedule.
Here's how it shakes out for Montgomery County residents:
County Offices – Closed

Libraries – Closed
Department of Liquor Control Retail Stores – Stores are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Recreation – Recreation and aquatics programs and facilities are open. Senior centers and administrative offices are closed.

TRiPS Commuter Store (Silver Spring and Friendship Heights) – Closed
County-Provided Refuse/Recycling Pickup – County-provided trash and recycling collection is cancelled. Collection will move by one day with the last pickup on Saturday, Feb. 26
Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station – Open during normal hours
Parking at Public Garages, Lots, Curbside Meters – Free
State Offices and Courts – Closed
