Tree Falls On Kensington Home, Trapping Man Inside
A man had to be rescued from his home Thursday after a tree fell on the house, trapping him inside.
KENSINGTON, MD — A Kensington man had to be freed from his home after a tree fell on it while he and five family members were inside.
According to the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service, the tree fell on a home in the 10200 block of Parkwood Drive just around 12:45 p.m. A man, woman and four children where inside the home when the tree fell. No one was seriously hurt by the crashing tree, but the man was on the second floor of the building, and firefighters say the way the tree fell trapped him in that part of the house.
About 65 members of the fire & rescue service were called out to remove the tree and free the man.

The incident was just one of several downed tree and power line calls across the region as heavy storms swept much of Maryland.
