When to Watch Fireworks in Kensington
Montgomery County is bringing fireworks back to Kensington this July 4 with a display scheduled at Albert Einstein High School.

The Fourth of July holiday is fast approaching, which means it’s almost time for some Independence Day fireworks.
This year, Montgomery County is bringing fireworks back to Kensington with a display at Albert Einstein High School, located at 11135 Newport Mill Road in Kensington.
Festivities are slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. with a performance by the band Gringo Jingo, which will play covers of popular music by legendary guitarist Carlos Santana. The fireworks display will begin shortly after dark.

Attendees can watch the fireworks from a viewing area set up at the front of the high school, from one of the high school’s athletic fields or from nearby Newport Middle School, located on the same road as the high school.
The county warns there will be no parking available at either school (with the exception of cars containing a handicap parking placard), but there will be parking at the nearby Westfield Wheaton Metro parking garage. There will also be a shuttle transporting attendees from the parking lot to the school and back beginning at 6:15 p.m.
