$12K Keno Win Lets Montgomery Village Man Splurge
"I love Keno," says a Montgomery Village man who won $12,000 playing the Maryland Lottery game.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — A Montgomery Village man who felt drawn to play his lucky Keno numbers after work wound up in the Winner’s Circle at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. He placed a six-spot bet, added the Super Bonus feature to his wager, selected five draws and won $12,000, according to a news release.
The married father of one found his Lottery luck at Gaithersburg retailer Lakeside Beer & Wine, where he played the numbers 12, 21, 23, 25, 31 and 61. This is his first big win of 2017; last year, he won $10,000 playing a different set of lucky numbers.
“I love Keno,” he said.

The day the winner bought his lucky ticket, he left the store and went home without waiting to see the outcome of his games. After calling up the Maryland Lottery app on his phone, the 45-year-old checked his Keno ticket and was startled by the results.
“I matched all of the numbers!” he told Lottery officials. “I was very surprised.”

The Montgomery County resident plans to buy something fun with his prize in order to make his largest-ever Lottery win extra memorable.
His retailer, Lakeside Beer & Wine, also benefits. For selling a winning Keno ticket of $10,000 or more, the store located at 9621 Lost Knife Road in Gaithersburg will earn a bonus of $120 – equal to 1 percent of the prize.
