ICYMI: When Do Pools Open in Montgomery County for Summer?
Montgomery County has seven outdoor pools that are ready to kick off summer.

It’s not officially summer, but Memorial Day weekend means that Montgomery County’s seven outdoor pools are now open.
From May 23 through June 13 the pools are only open from noon to 6 p.m. on weekends. When the summer season runs – June 14 to Aug. 17 – pools will be open from 1 to 8 p.m. weekdays and from noon to 8 p.m. on weekends.

The outdoor pools are:
- Bethesda Pool, Little Falls Parkway and Hillandale Road;
- Germantown Outdoor Pool, 18905 Kingsview Road;
- Long Branch Pool, 8700 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring;
- Martin Luther King Jr. Outdoor Pool, 1201 Jackson Road, Silver Spring;
- Wheaton/Glenmont Pool, 12621 Dalewood Drive, Wheaton;
- Upper County Outdoor Pool, 8211 Emory Grove Road, Gaithersburg; and
- Western County Outdoor Pool, 20151 Fisher Avenue, Poolesville.
Admission fees are $4 for kids age 17 and younger, $6 for adults, and $4.50 for senior citizens over age 55. Costs are higher for non-county residents.
