Detectives from the Montgomery County Police- 3rd District Investigative Section are asking the public for help in locating a missing Fairland man.

Joseph Robert Fortunak, age 29, was last seen by family at approximately 3:30 a.m. yesterday morning (Tuesday, June 1) when he left his Countryside Court home in a ride share service.   Family reported that Fortunak may have been traveling to the City of Baltimore and that they have been unable to contact him since he left his home.  

Fortunak is approximately 5’11” tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. 

Police and family are concerned for Fortunak’s welfare.  

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Joseph Robert Fortunak is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line). Callers may remain anonymous.
