Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged 18-year-old John Delonte Black, Jr. and Annbel Sierra Massilon in connection with the death of 18-year-old Kennedy Merritt-Millet, who was shot on Tuesday, June 22 in the area of Greencastle Road and Turbridge Drive.Â

At 11:30 a.m. today, the two turned themselves in at the Montgomery County Warrant turn-in Facility, where investigators were notified.

A press conference was held on June 25, releasing the names and images of the two suspects, who investigators believed to have fled the area. As a result of that press conference, investigators received several tips, ultimately leading to the suspects turning themselves in.

Black, Jr. has been charged with first degree murder and Massilon has been charged with robbery.

Black Jr. is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center.
