Darnestown resident wins national title at Spring North American Bridge Championships

Peter Boyd of Darnestown, Md., claimed victory in the Baldwin North American Paris Flight A event at the Spring North American Bridge Championships (NABCs), one of the 15 championship-level events held in Reno, Nev., from March 10 to 20.

This is Boyd’s 16th first-place NABC title. He is pictured left, next to team member Steve Robinson of Arlington, Va.

The NABCs are held three times a year across the U.S. and Canada to bring together players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, with opportunities for everyone to play daily from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The 2016 Summer NABCs will be held in Washington, D.C., from July 21 to 31.
