Friday, September 4
- Check out “Grown Down Playground Art” for an interactive exhibit by artist Jenny Wu at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown.
- Sandy Spring Museum’s art exhibit “Two for One: Photographic Combinations using the Museum Collection” is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Glen Echo’s Art Walk is open from 6 to 8 p.m. This weekend features the park’a 45th Annual Labor Day Art Show with a public opening reception at 7 p.m. in the Spanish Ballroom.
- The final Friday Night Live free outdoor concert of the summer features music by the Junkyard Saints at Rockville Town Square. Concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
- Olney Theatre’s production of Hay Fever opens this week with a performance tonight at 8 p.m.

- Fenton Street Market celebrates 6 years of service to the Silver Spring Community at Veterans Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Try you hand at weaving today as Sandy Spring Museum kicks off its “Community Weave” project from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- The Kensington “Paint the Town” Art Show exhibit takes place this weekend at the Town Hall from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. TheMontgomery Art Association partners with the Town of Kensington for this juried art exhibit and event.
- Glen Echo’s Labor Day Art Show and Open House features the work of more than 250 artists from the region and is open from noon to 6 p.m. Plan your visit with the open house schedule and check the Glen Echo Park website for additional activities.
- Olney Theatre’s production of Noël Coward’s comedy Hay Fever show tonight is at 8 p.m.
- The Washington Spirit take on the Seattle Reign FC at the Maryland Soccerplex in Bodys at 7 p.m. The game is sold out, but you can watch it streamed live on the NWSL YouTube channel.
Sunday, September 6
