Report: 366 Apartments Planned for Shady Grove Area

A Texas-based company plans to build 366 apartments in Rockville, a 6.9-acre site in Shady Grove once zoned for office space, The Gazette reports.
A Texas-based company plans to build 366 apartments in Rockville, a 6.9-acre site in Shady Grove once zoned for office space, The Gazette reports.
Hanover Co. bought the space for $16 million from the Merdian Group of Bethesda—a project that faced initial opposition because of its density, though it was approved under the Great Seneca Science Corridor’s master plan, The Gazette reports.
The apartments would be located on the northwest side of Research Boulevard, west of the Shady Grove Road and Interstate 270 interchange, the newspaper reports.
