Vote for Chompie's Replacement During Shark Week at Discovery Building

You can decide which mural Silver Spring-based Discovery Communications should use to celebrate Shark Week on the Discovery Channel to replace Chompie, the giant inflatable shark.
Shark Week kicks off Sunday, July 5, with the most hours of shark programming in its 28-year history, including 19 hours of prime time shows.
You can vote for your favorite shark-tastic design to be displayed on the exterior of the Discovery building in Silver Spring.

Voters can pick their favorite online. The options are labeled A) Love Bites, B) Jawsome and C) I Heart Shark.
The winner will replace the 446-foot Great White shark named Chompie, which marked Shark Week in past years. The piece was designed as though Chompie’s body went through the middle of the Discovery Communications’ Building at One Discovery Place in downtown, according to a previous Patch post.

The five pieces, which included the head, two side fins, dorsal fin and tail, were hoisted into place by a crane and then tied down using cables and ropes.
Chompie was continuously inflated by air with 10 air blowers so he didn’t go flat.
