What's Open, Closed in Montgomery County for Fourth of July Holiday 2015? ICYMI
Libraries, bus and rail service and more will be affected by the Fourth of July holiday.

Many Montgomery County offices and services will be closed Friday, July 3, or have shorter operating hours for the Fourth of July holiday. Here’s a rundown of what’s open and closed:

County Offices – closed
Libraries – closed

County liquor stores – open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 3 and 4
Recreation – indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities will be open as scheduled. Administrative offices, senior centers and community centers are closed; all classes, including aquatics classes, are cancelled.
Montgomery Parks – most Parks facilities are open during holiday weekend. For operating schedules, visit www.MontgomeryParks.org.
Ride On – Saturday schedule
Metrobus – Saturday schedule (with supplemental service on Saturday, July 4)
Metrorail – Saturday schedule (special service on Saturday, July 4)
TRiPS Commuter Stores (Silver Spring and Friendship Heights) – closed
Refuse/recycling pickup – regular collection (no collection on Saturday, July 4)
Transfer station – open (closed on Saturday, July 4)
Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters – free
MCPS Administrative Offices – closed
State Offices and Courts – closed
Gaithersburg
All city facilities – closed
Recycling – regular recycling schedule (bulk pick up scheduled for Friday, July 3 will be collected Friday, July 10)
Miniature Golf Course at Bohrer Park – open 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 4
Water Park at Bohrer Park – open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 3, open 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. July 4
Skate Park – open noon until sunset July 3 and 4
Aquatic Center – open 5:15 to 9 p.m. July 3, open for morning swim lessons only Saturday, July 4
Gaithersburg Police Department Administrative Offices – open normal business hours
Rockville
City Hall – closed
Recycling and refuse collection -not affected as they are not normally collected on Fridays
F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and Box Office – open 2 to 7 p.m., closed July 4
Croydon Creek Nature Center – open July 3, closed July 4
Rockville Civic Center Park Offices – closed
Glenview Mansion – closed July 3 and 4
All Community Centers (Lincoln Park, Twinbrook, and Thomas Farm) – open July 3, closed July 4
Rockville Senior Center – closed Friday July 3, open normal hours Saturday, July 4
Parking fees at city-owned meters – free July 3 and July 4
Rockville Swim and Fitness Center – normal schedule July 3, close early at 6 p.m. July 4
