8 Patients, 1 Worker Have Coronavirus At Perkins Hospital: Report
Eight patients and an employee at Clifton T. Perkins Hospital​ in Jessup have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a report.
ODENTON, MD — Eight patients and one employee has tested positive for the new coronavirus at the state's psychiatric facility in Jessup, according to WBAL-TV.
Clifton T. Perkins Hospital houses patients requiring psychiatric evaluation who have been accused of felonies and have claimed they are not criminally responsible.
It is unclear how they contracted the virus, which — as of Monday morning — has infected 1,413 people in Maryland. According to WBAL-TV, all hospital wards have been ordered to limited movement.
