BWI Airport Officials To Host Virtual Public Workshops
The workshops will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 21.
HANOVER, MD — To help protect the public's safety as well as the safety of employees during the coronavirus pandemic, the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Aviation Administration will host two virtual public workshops this month via video conference regarding proposed improvement projects at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
According to airport officials, these public workshops are an important tool to facilitate participation and feedback from local residents and MDOT’s stakeholders. The workshops will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 21 instead of the in-person workshop previously scheduled in March that was postponed due to public health and social distancing guidelines.
MDOT MAA has identified the need for a number of proposed improvements at BWI Marshall Airport to meet Federal Aviation Administration design standards, enhance airfield safety and efficiency, accommodate existing and anticipated passenger demand, and improve customer service. The projects would have no impact on airline flight track locations or the number of airline operations at BWI Marshall.

A dial-in telephone number will be posted at the website prior to the meetings for those unable to access the Internet and who would like to listen.
