Cecelia A. Jewell, 73, a resident of Odenton, died on Monday, Nov. 9, in Annapolis. Born on February 27, 1942, in Washington, D.C., to the late Martin and Annabelle Thornton, Cecelia attended St. Cecelia and Bladensburg High Schools. She was an administrative assistant, retiring from NSA.

She was the mother of Suzanne M. (Robert) Walters, Joanna L. (James) Harford, William E. Jewell Jr. and the late Robert T. Wilkinson; sister of Barbara (Gary Ritchie) Herber, Martina (Mark) Fowler, Lisa (Joseph) Vallario and the late Kathleen Thornton; and grandmother of Ashley and Megan Royer, LeeAnna, Ryan and Conner Harford.

A memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. at The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 9961 Rosaryville Road in Upper Marlboro. Interment will be private.
