Clear The Shelters Pet Adoption Event Aug. 17 At County Shelter

MILLERSVILLE, MD —Residents contemplating adding a four-legged furry friend to the family should take advantage of the Clear the Shelters Pet Adoption event Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control.

The national event is carried out across the country and in recent years, has been successful in Anne Arundel County. Animal care and control will be waiving all adoption fees for qualified adopters for all animals to help everyone have a chance at expanding their family with an animal who needs a furever home.

One of Animal Care & Control’s rescue partners, Tara’s House Animal Rescue, has agreed to honor free adoption fees as part of the event, too. Nationally, more than 250,000 pets have been adopted through the NBC/Telemundo stations Clear the Shelters campaign.

The shelter is located at 411 Maxwell Frye Rd. in Millersville.
