Elderly Woman Searching for Dog Maybe Sold on Craigslist
The woman believes a recent Craigslist post about a Pomeranian for sale may have featured her missing dog.

ODENTON, MD--Here’s a Facebook post from a Patch Reader in Odenton about a lost pet:
Cross post: Spreading the word about a heartbroken elderly woman who believes her longtime companion was sold on CL: I have reason to believe our Pomeranian may have been sold on Craiglist in the last two weeks. I was unable to get a hold of the seller, but really looked like our baby. I don't want to say he was stolen, but he came up missing and I am begging you, if you purchased a pom in the last couple of weeks, I know you would not want a pom that was not legitimately sold by the owners. I can describe him to you in detail and prove by papers and picture. I will reimburse you for your expense paid to rehome. We have been looking desperately for our pom and this is the first real hope we that he might be resold. Please I am begging you. He really looked like our lost dog. We miss him dearly and appreciate your understanding. Pom 6-8 pounds light brown/red. Older pom. Please I can't say this enough. Please call me 410-562-9207. Please don't call me just to get money out of me, only if you care enough and have a heart to see that if he was sold illegally, he can get back to the rightful owners

Don’t worry! They’re getting themselves found, too.
The American Pet Products Association estimates that Americans own 70 to 80 million dogs and 74 to 96 million cats. That’s a lot of furry friends to keep track off.
And according to the ASPCA, about 649,000 animals who are brought to shelters as strays are returned to their owners each year. We can help raise that number by ensuring our Patch Pets make it home safe.
