Face Coverings Must Be Worn At Anne Arundel Recycling Centers

County recycling centers should be used only by residents who do not have curbside collection services.

SEVERN, MD —All people visiting Anne Arundel County recycling centers must practice social distancing and use face coverings while there, officials have announced. While the vehicle limit is no longer in effect at the three Anne Arundel County Recycling Centers, the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works emphasized that county recycling centers should be used only by residents who do not have curbside collection services or for items not collected at the curbside that cannot be reasonably stored at home.

The Millersville Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility also should be utilized only for recycling and disposal of large loads of material when essential to maintaining sanitary and healthy conditions within the community. Wait times are lengthy due to the number of residents using these facilities and may exceed one hour at peak times and on Saturdays.

Anne Arundel County’s Millersville Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility and three residential drop-off recycling centers in Glen Burnie, Severn and Deale are open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. excluding county holidays.
