Family Culture Night Nov. 25 At Waugh Chapel Elementary School
The school community is invited to attend Family Culture Night at Waugh Chapel Elementary School Nov. 25 from 6-8 p.m.
ODENTON, MD — Waugh Chapel Elementary School will be hosting its second annual family cultural night Nov. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The evening will be filled with singing, dancing, games and a variety of foods from around the world including Brazil, Senegal, Ireland and Japan. There also will be a sensory-friendly quiet room for children with special needs who need to take a break.
Michele C. Walker, a speech-language pathologist at the school, said last year's event was well attended by members of the school community and everyone enjoyed the evening.
"Movement games from Senegal and dances from Russia will be offered along with so many others. Some food samples will be from area restaurants and others from school families," Walker told Patch.
