Gun Arrest Follows Laurel Traffic Stop: Police
A Laurel traffic stop led to a gun arrest, police said. The Temple Hills suspect had a pistol and ammunition on him, officers added.

LAUREL, MD — Police said a Laurel traffic stop led to a gun arrest last Thursday. The Temple Hills suspect had a pistol and ammunition on him, officers noted.
Authorities added that they stopped a black Chevrolet around 1:21 p.m. in the 3500 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road, also known as Maryland Route 198. The front passenger quickly exited the car, an incident report detailed.
The write-up stated that officers spoke with the accused man when they saw an ammunition clip sticking out of his pants pocket. Police explained that they searched the suspect and found:

- A 30-round magazine containing 21 .40 caliber cartridges
- A black shoulder bag containing a silver and black polymer “Glock style” handgun
The Anne Arundel County Police Department identified the arrestee as 33-year-old Kenneth Lee Coleman.
