Longtime Odenton Resident Cynthiana Ritchie

Cynthiana "Cindy" Ritchie, 78, a 58 year resident of Odenton and previously of Kentucky, died December 10, 2014 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Born in Kentucky on June 21, 1936, she graduated from Cordia High School in Hazard, KY. Cindy was a longtime cafeteria manager at Odenton Elementary School, retiring in 1999. She enjoyed nature, hiking, travel, collecting dolls and going to the beach and mountains with her family. Cindy is survived by her sons, Ken (Cher) Ritchie of Glen Burnie and Keith (Debbie) Ritchie of Pasadena, her daughter Krista (Dale) Walker of Odenton, sisters Sandra Turner of Ohio, Sheila Harris of Ohio and Debbie Cooke of Indianapolis, IN, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ritchie, who died Sept. 28, 1976 and a sister, Charlotte Day. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, December 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A., 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, MD, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 16 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Epiphany Episcopal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 217 E.
