Apartment Ransacked At Gunpoint; Missing Man Returns Home: Police

Police said armed intruders broke into an Anne Arundel County apartment. A Baltimore man then went missing for two days, officers added.

ODENTON, MD — Police said armed intruders broke into an Odenton apartment Wednesday night. The three occupants told police that four strangers with guns came in through the backdoor. The male suspects ransacked the home and fled around 10:05 p.m., an incident report clarified.

Authorities added that one of the occupants, 20-year-old Darius Jason Lewis Owens of Baltimore, went missing right after the break-in. One of the other residents reported that their car was taken from the scene, located in the 300 block of Baldwin Avenue.

Police thought the intruders may have abducted Owens and stolen the car, but they later explained that Owens willingly drove away in the vehicle. Detectives got in touch with Owens on Friday and confirmed that he is back home safely, a press release informed at 2:19 p.m.
