A Glen Burnie teen is facing multiple charges after he allegedly used social media to display a handgun at Old Mill High School, say police.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — A student at Old Mill High School is facing gun-related charges after he allegedly posted a video of himself on social media, posing with a loaded gun tucked into the waistband of his pants, said a police spokesman. The Snapchat video appears to have been made at the school, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Maleek Benjamin, 19, of the 300 block of Highland Drive in Glen Burnie, has been charged with possession of a firearm under the age of 21, possession of a dangerous weapon on school property, having a handgun on his person, and having a loaded handgun on his person, the police said.

At about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the report of a video posted on Snapchat that "showed an unidentified male with a handgun," the police said in a statement.
