Police Arrest Murder Suspect After Month-Long Search

Police said Monday they have captured a Glen Burnie man who was previously at-large, who is suspected of murdering a man in Severn last month.
Anne Arundel County police said Monday that they identified suspect Daquan Pack, 22 of Glen Burnie during a traffic stop in the area of Route 295 and Route 198 just after 10 a.m.
"Daquan Pack was identified as a passenger in the vehicle and taken into custody," police said.

Pack is a suspect in a shooting that took place in Severn just after 8 p.m. on April 1.
On that night, Anne Arundel County police said an officer was on patrol in Meade Village in Severn and heard what sounded like shots being fired in the area of the 8100 block of Meade Village Road. The officer investigated and found 31-year-old Patrick Maurice Dixon of Glen Burnie suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Dixon was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at about 8:30 p.m.
Several witnesses told police they saw the shooting, and identified Pack as the shooter. The witnesses said Pack and Dixon had an argument in the parking lot and shortly thereafter, Pack shot Dixon, and then fled the scene.
Pack had been at-large with warrants issued for his arrest for more than a month, since that night.
Now that Pack is in custody, police said Monday that he will be booked and processed, and formally charged with Dixon's murder.
