Police Swipe Loaded Gun During Anne Arundel Traffic Stop: Report

A routine traffic stop led to a gun arrest in Anne Arundel County, police said.

SEVERN, MD — Police said they found a loaded gun during a Severn traffic stop last Thursday. Officers reported stopping a blue Honda Acura at the intersection of Reece Road and Severn Road around 12:55 p.m.

After an investigation, police noted that they found a polymer/Glock 48 handgun. An incident report added that the weapon had six bullets in it, and the driver also had a spare nine-round magazine.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said it arrested the accused man, 28-year-old Maurice Lamar Brown of Severn, and charged him accordingly.
