Sexual Solicitation Of Minor Charged To Anne Arundel Man: Police
A 59-year-old Anne Arundel County man tried to organize a sexual meetup with a minor, a police report said.
HANOVER, MD — Police said they arrested a Glen Burnie man on Jan. 13, charging him with one count of soliciting sex from a minor. The accused man, Mark Hilton, is 59.
An incident report noted that a trooper from the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit posed as a 14-year-old male on an online dating application last December. Hilton started a conversation with the undercover officer, the write-up informed, hoping to schedule a sexual encounter.
The report added that the two agreed to meet in Hanover on Jan. 13. The Maryland State Police and FBI’s Maryland Child Exploitation Task Force arrested the suspect when he arrived around 12:25 p.m., troopers concluded.
