UMUC Takes Classroom Space In Odenton Town Center

UMUC, which is a leading provider of education services to the military, has leased space in Odenton Town Center.

From AJ Properties: Academy Junction Limited Partnership, represented by A. J. Properties, Inc., has signed a lease with a member of the University System of Maryland for Academy Junction Plaza in Odenton Town Center. The new tenant, University of Maryland University College (UMUC) is “an American public not-for-profit university” offering ‘affordable, convenient and career-relevant’ hybrid degrees and certificates. UMUC offices are headquartered in Adelphi in Prince George’s County, Maryland and they offer classes in more than 20 regional locations. Educating busy professionals is their specialty and they are a leading provider of education services to the U.S. military. The Odenton location falls under their Stateside Military Affairs Operations and according to the UMUC website, their Cyber Security Programs were ranked number four by Military Times’ 2018 list of the ten best.

“The community is very fortunate that UMUC decided to locate in Odenton across from Anne Arundel County’s largest library adding to the focus of education in the Odenton Town Center core,” said Stuart Title, Vice President of A. J. Properties, Inc. “UMUC now has a permanent, quality, adult education facility that is in sync with the University of Maryland and what its students deserve! This is an invaluable asset for the 118 agencies on Post (Fort Meade) and convenient to the MARC Station Penn line. We welcome this valued relationship between UMUC and the community of West County.”

To date, 80 percent of the available space in the Plaza building has been leased. Space directly adjacent to the College totaling 2,200 square feet is available.
