VFW, GOIA to Hand out Community Awards

The Greater Odenton Improvement Association and VFW Meade Memorial Post 5172 will hold their annual citizen awards ceremony this Thursday. 

The VFW will honor four students for their participation in essay and speech contests. It will also hand out awards for Teacher of the Year, Firefighter of the Year, Law Enforcement Officer of the Year and Medical Technician of the Year.  

GOIA will also present its Odenton Citizen of the Year award. 

The ceremony will take place Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the West County Area Library.
