Woman in Serious Condition After Motorcycle Accident

A 40-year-old woman is in serious condition after her motorcycle collided with a vehicle Sunday evening near the intersection of Quarterfield Road and Parke West Drive.

County fire officials were called to the scene at 5:22 p.m., said spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton. However, details were still hazy. It was unclear whether the woman hit the vehicle, or if the vehicle hit her, he said.

A helicopter landed in a nearby field at Quarterfield Elementary to fly the woman to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries.
