2013 Rewind: Saying Goodbye to a Firefighter and a Miracle Baby

In 2013, members of the Reisterstown community said goodbye to a firefighter killed in the line of duty and a 20-year-old who baffled doctors with a rare medical condition. 

Firefighter Gene Kirchner, 25, died May 2 after being seriously injured in an April 24 fire a short distance from the fire station. Kirchner began his career with the Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company when he was only 14. Read the story here.
