Aristides Harduvel

On Nov. 28, 2016, Aristides Harduvel; beloved husband of Pipitsa (nee Kokolis) Harduvel; devoted father of James Harduvel and his wife Evelyn, and Aris Harduvel and his wife Anita; loving grandfather of Stephanie, and Peter Harduvel. Also survived by seven nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by two brothers George and James Harduvel and one nephew.

After a brief stint in the Navy, he graduated from the University of Alabama undergraduate and law school. During his time at Alabama, he started the student movement to bring Bear Bryant to the football program. He practiced law in both Alabama and Maryland, and had a successful career at the Social Security Administration as the Director of Disability. Art brought laughter and smiles to his family and everyone who knew him. He lived a wonderful life.

Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (Beltway exit 26), on Friday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 8 pm with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 pm. Mr. Harduvel will lie in state from 10-10:30 am until the funeral hour at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery, 5917 Windsor Mill Rd., Baltimore, Saturday, December 3. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 24 West Preston St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
