Dooby's, the long-awaited Mount Vernon cafe, will open a preview version (which will open around Labor Day) in the lower-level Park Plaza space called The Hatch (4 W. Madison St., to officially open July 20), according to the Sun. The Hatch will open at 7 a.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. weekends.

Members of the Original Little Italy Restaurant Association are offering special movie menu items from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., as part of Little Italy's Open-Air Film Festival every Friday until August 30, according to to the Baltimore Sun. Assemble an al fresco dinner with Chiapparelli's salad ($6), a mozzarella and tomato sub ($5) from Da Mimmo, a Roma sausage sub ($6) from Sabatino's and "chip and dip" ($4)—cannoli pastry chips and filling—from Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop.
Free Chipotle at American Visionary Art Museum Film Screenings
For free chips and salsa from Chipotle, be one of the first 50 attendees to AVAM's Flicks on the Hill, a free, outdoor film screening series that kicked off this Thursday, according to the Sun. Next Thursday's film will be Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (1985).
